Puppy Head Start Seminar

Start your puppy off right by getting the education you need! When it comes to raising puppies, the more you know ahead of time, THE BETTER. Puppies become dogs very quickly. So much so that by the time you bring your puppy home, if you’re not on top of things, problems can begin to take hold.

The Puppy Head Start Seminar is a 1.5 hour for-people-only educational seminar held on Sunday late in the afternoon. During this leave your puppy at home session, you will get the information you need to make puppy raising less of a struggle.

What Is The Format and What Will Be Covered?
This seminar is an interactive educational session with Q & A opportunities throughout the session. It will not be a lecture but you will probably want to take notes. I believe the saying, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ applies especially to dog training. For this reason, I will have a demo puppy along and occasionally, my trained adult deaf dog. I will cover the following topics: (1) puppy management including house-training, nipping, chewing and crate and alone training; (2) socialization – what it is, what it isn’t and how to do it right; and (3) how dogs communicate and learn.

Who Should Attend?
This seminar is perfect for people with puppies under 5 months. People who do not yet have their puppy will reap tremendous value in attending before you get your puppy. If your puppy will be waiting for you at home, you will definitely get the answers to all of your questions. If your puppy cannot be left at home alone, contact me to discuss and make a plan – your puppy might be my demo puppy.

When and Where?
We meet at No Bones About It at 1786 Beacon street Brookline, MA. Pre-registration and a minimum of 4 participants is required to hold the seminar.

Fee $75
