What to expect from a dog behavior consultation--

In keeping with my first things first principle, I require that you have, at least, discussed your dog's behavioral problem(s) with your veterinarian. It is essential that s/he is aware of the issues so to rule out a possible medical cause before we meet.

Prior to our first appointment, I will gather information from you about your dog's behavior and more. During this initial 1.5 hour consultation, I will assess your dog's behavior and outline a behavior modification plan. We will work with your dog during this first session so that you will know how to handle the situations that arise daily. Occasionally, I spend more time with you so you should not try to fit the session in too tightly between other appointments. To get started, please fill out my behavior questionnaire.

While some dog behavior problems can be resolved in one or two sessions, most require more time. We will likely work together for several sessions. My fee for this session is $190 and includes thirty days of support via phone and email. Subsequent one hour private lessons will be charged at a rate of $100 per hour or at a rate of $90 per hour in prepaid of three ($270) or six ($540) session packages. Payment is accepted in advance via Paypal or by check or cash at the time services are provided. You must fill out my  questionnaire in order to book an appointment. You will be required to sign a waiver of liability and agree to abide by my cancellation policy.

In order to effect lasting change in your dog's behavior, you must be willing to change how you interact with and care for your dog. Whatever the behavioral issue, I will support you throughout. I have several group dog training classes available including outdoor classes and group training walks to help you and your dog to better handle the challenges encountered on daily walks. Rowdy Rovers is a class specifically for reactive and aggressive dogs.

Dog sports
offer dogs and owners a chance have fun while working as a team and may also provide some much needed stress reduction. I teach K9 Nose Work classes in Brookline and incorporate the game in private sessions. I no longer teach agility classes however, I do offer private agility sessions in Watertown.

Don't put it off one more day. Call me at 617-803-4086 to discuss or email Vera@CooperativDog.com. You may be surprised at the change that is possible!
